Understanding the Law of Consciousness Part 3

By admin

Step #1.  Choose

Conceive exactly what it is you want to achieve, whether it be control our temper, improve our personality, find a congenial mate, achieve success in our business, heal ourselves of disease, or build our self-esteem.  The only thing that can limit or defeat us is a lack of individual consciousness that our specific desire is attainable.

Basically, what do you really, really, really, really, really, really, really, want?  In order to achieve this all important consciousness, our objective needs to be something that we want intensely, that we can clearly conceive ourselves being or having, that we have a clear conscience about its righteousness for us and that it is something to which we are willing to devote unrelenting time and effort.

However, before we can choose our outcomes, we need to know our long-range outcomes.  What is of most importance to our lives and what is our most pressing need.  In so doing, we need to keep in mind that a balanced life is vitally necessary to our peace of mind, health and happiness.  This will impact our individual desires in all areas of our lives – social, mental, physical, financial, spiritual, career and family.  In order to determine exactly what is most needful to our progress and happiness we need to make a specific detailed written description of our outcomes just as if we were placing an order.

Step #2  Affirm

Construct clear and concise affirmations so that the desired things or characteristics you have chosen are now yours.  This identifies you with your desire and provides the pattern for the Law of Consciousness to fulfill.  Therefore, write each affirmation down in present tense and in minute detail, in emotionally charged words, power words, and make the description warm, colorful and exciting.

Before working with your affirmations, consciously relax your mind and body.  Preferably, just before you arise in the morning and immediately after retiring at night.  Repeat each affirmation for 2-6 minutes preferably aloud, and at the same time vividly visualize your outcome and the conditions resulting from its achievement as accomplished facts.

Relaxing your body and clearing your mind of all extraneous material is vitally necessary, for the more your mind becomes a shapeless void, unaware of your bodily functions and the world around you, the greater the impact the affirmations and visual pictures will have on your consciousness.  This will result in a lack of tension, diversion, and conflict.  This is called shutting down, everything going on inside of you and externally listening.  It is best to get into a comfortable position and just let go quietly and effortlessly releasing all thoughts and tension.  This will require a little time and practice.  Whatever you do, be calm and relax.  The desired mental and emotional state will just happen.  Release any stray thoughts and sounds as they soon go away when they receive no attention.  Dwell on each part of your affirmation until you fully absorb the meaning and implication of every word and phrase.  Let your picturing soar.  Let your outcomes be realized in almost infinite detail and color, and rejoice in their fulfillment.  See, hear and feel the outcomes you want.

Every time you complete your affirmations, do so with the same calm and secure faith that your outcomes will emerge.  For instance, when you plant a rose bush you know that given adequate moisture, food and warmth, roses will sprout and blossom.  The same is true with picturing affirmations feelings and desires, you will nourish and bring forth the seed you are planting according to a law just as universal and immutable as the law that brings forth plants.  After all, you do not have to know and understand the laws of radio and television in order to tune in your favorite program.  Neither do you have to understand electricity to throw a switch that lights up a city.

Step #3  Picture

Even though you may not be aware of it, nothing ever externalizes in your world of form without first having been thrown on your screen of consciousness.  You initiate all action, first by conceiving what you desire and then creating, consciously or unconsciously a mental picture of your desired action.  This is the way you shout, close your eyes, stretch out your arms, play the piano, get into a car, or build your self-esteem.  This is the way a baby learns to walk.  Our no conscious mind – the infinite doer – infinitely sensitive to the mental suggestions and visual pictures of your conscious mind, receives these pictures and impulses and goes to work instantly to make your mental picture and desire a reality.

Therefore, see in your mind’s eye a clear and distinct picture or yourself possessing or expressing, being the desire you are affirming as you repeat and meditate on your chosen affirmations.  Describe it sufficiently to get a genuine feel of it.  Visualize it in complete detail and accept it emotionally as you declare your affirmation.  Picture that you actually have your specific desire here and now.  Employ all of your five senses to contract a vivid, living scene.  Picture rejoicing in its accomplishment. Glorifying and glorying in your achievement.  Here it, see it, touch it, taste it and smell it.  Feel it.  Experience now how you will feel when your outcome is actualized in your countenance, your posture and in every action.  Live it every minute throughout your day.  Remember, thought and pictures form the basic creative power of the universe.  Maintain a feeling of gratitude and thankfulness that you achieved your desire.

Step #4  Act As If

Act as if, through countenance, posture and manner, that your chosen desire were an actuality.  In so doing, you indicate your faith and acceptance of the fact that your desire will externalize.  Think through exactly how you would feel, look and move as if your outcome were already a reality and act accordingly “Here and Now.”  This physical expression of your desire is a vital ingredient in achieving the  required consciousness.  Place a smile on your face, a sparkle in your eye, a spring in your step.  Walk, stand and sit with an air of self-esteem and poise and see how much better you feel.  How your challenges fad away.  Even though you may feel sad and discouraged, you can still by consciously maintaining an expression and posture of well-being and happiness, actually generate a consciousness of being well and happy; for a physical attitude induces an emotional counterpart.  This Acting As If and the detailed emotion packed picture of your realized outcomes are the primary factors that make your affirmations convincing and powerfully effective in creating the required consciousness of being.

Step #5  Acknowledge

You now know what you want – what you really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really want.  You have carefully described it.  You have affirmed and sensed that it is yours.  You have created a definite emotional picture in your mind and you have accepted it by acting “as if” it were a reality.  Having established your clearly chosen desire as your dominate consciousness, you can be sure that it will inevitably objectify in your world of form in accordance with the inexorable Law of Consciousness.  Therefore acknowledge it.  Testify to your unwavering faith by giving thanks now that it is assured – that absolutely nothing can prevent its manifestation.  So let your heart fill with gratitude that it is so.  Look forward and see all the wonderful possibilities in your life now that you control it and give thanks.  This the final and vital step.  This is your check point.  If you want victorious results, you need to keep actively working with this system until you achieve a genuine consciousness of assurance and thankfulness.  Consistently space repetition of this law for 90 continuous days as this is the key to creating new beginnings and new endings.

Begin now and write down your own affirmations.  Here are some examples of affirmations:

I now accept myself totally and unconditionally.
I now free myself from all self destructive criticism.
I now give unconditional warm regards to all people at all times.
I now show that I am 100% alive by thinking, speaking and acting with great enthusiasm.
I now choose to be completely self-determined and I will allow others that same right.
I now release all comparisons with myself and others.

And for your career:

I now surrender to abundance and prosperity.
I now build self esteem with all people at all times.
I now commit to a life long learning program.
I now cultivate mutually beneficial relationships.
I now cooperate and build trust with my employer and associates.
I now actualize my full potential and create my life the way I want it.

Oliver Wendell Holmes said: “Most people die with their music still in them.” Will you?

I leave you with this final thought:

What the mind attends to
the mind considers.
What the mind does not attend to
the mind dismisses.
What the mind continually considers
the mind believes and
what the mind believes
the mind eventually does and
that is the Law of Consciousness.
