Meditation

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Stress affects everyone and can be a quite a burden.  There are many different causes to stress be it work related, school related, turmoil in a relationship, or something else entirely.  How we deal with stress is important, it can determine whether the stress grows or becomes manageable.  One good way to reduce stress and calm the mind is through meditation.

Meditation is an easy and if done right effective way to relieve stress that you can do from the comfort of your own home.  It is also safe and natural and better for your body than prescription drugs.  Along with relieving stress, meditation can also boost focus and help you find clarity and inner peace.

There are many different ways to meditate, here’s on good method you can use:

First find a quiet room without any outside disturbances where you can be alone.  Once you find a good place to meditate get yourself comfortable, you can lie down, sit up, or get in any position where you can be the most relaxed.  Next close your eyes and picture yourself in your own personal location, this could be in the woods, on the beach, in a meadow, or anywhere you decide that will make you the completely relaxed and at ease.  Once you’re in your happy place so to say, look into yourself and picture all your stress and negative energy as black or darkness inside your body and picture peaceful positive or bright energy outside your body, then working from your head down picture yourself filling up your body with bright positive energy by taking deep breaths.  Inhaling the positive bright energy in through your nose and exhaling the negative dark energy out through your mouth.  Picture your body filling up with bright positive energy while the dark negative energy is being pushed out.  Keep inhaling the bright positive energy and exhaling the dark negative energy until your body is completely full of bright positive energy and there is no longer any dark negative energy left.  For some people thinking a phrase or word they like while doing the breathing exercise helps, for example “in with the good, out with the bad.”  Once your body is void of any dark negative energy let yourself be at peace, enjoy the calm and tranquility.  You’re now in your happy place and your mind is at peace.  When you’re ready open your eyes and re-enter the world with a new and peaceful disposition.

Once you get into the practice of meditating you’ll find that you are happier and more relaxed than ever before.

Have a wonderful and joy filled day, and remember to treat yourself and others with TUL, Total Unconditional Love.

Forgiveness

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Is there someone in your life that wronged you and because of that your relationship with them became strained or ended?  Has that person expressed regret for their actions, but your relationship with them is still in turmoil?

If you answered yes to both of those questions then you probably haven’t truly forgiven that person.

Many people do or say things they regret, that end up hurting someone they care about.  This could be because they didn’t think things through, or maybe because they too are hurting and they lashed out as way to try and alleviate their pain.

It is important to understand that everyone makes mistakes.  Exercising forgiveness and giving someone a second chance can save what could be or already was a meaningful relationship.

It is not healthy to carry resentment and anger in your heart.  These negative emotions can lead to stress and possibly depression.  At the same time it’s not easy to forgive, it takes courage to give someone a second chance because you possibly risk being hurt again.  But if you don’t give them the benefit of the doubt you could end up losing something very precious.  Anyone can carry resentment, but it takes great strength and a true test of character to forgive.

Forgiveness leads to personal growth and could even raise your self-esteem.  So why not try and forgive?  You might just like what you find.

Show a loved one you care

Posted by: | Comments (0)

We all have people we care about, people that we cherish the time we spend with them.  But how often do you let those people know you really care about them?  You might think something like “they know I love them,” but you’d be surprised how easily you could really brighten up someone’s day by showing them you care.

Today take the time to show at least one loved one that you care about them.  You could treat them to lunch, send them flowers, or simply tell them how much they mean to you.  Do this and you will strengthen the bonds between you and the people you love.

Also be sure to register for our 5 day “Move Into Your Greatness” program on April 16 – 20.  Learn more…
