How do you FIX yourself, marriage, family, career or business?
Posted by: | CommentsYou need to take a big and small picture view of your situation. In terms of the big picture ask yourself, what is most important to you? If you don’t do something to make it better what will it cost you and others? What is the easiest next step?
For the short term break your next steps into very practical and specific baby steps that are measurable. Like, I will communicate what I need and want to my spouse and children. Assess your progress each day, week and month. Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10. In fact ask others for feedback on how you are doing.
Get an accountability partner, coach or mentor to help you stay on track.
Ask yourself what is the worst that can happen? If you can live with that then the best that can happen will come to you. If you want to get past the ordinary you need to intensify your activities so the extraordinary can exist.
Can you turn off your thoughts and just be?
Posted by: | CommentsHow did you sleep last night? Did you find yourself waking up and not being able to go back to sleep? Were there thoughts and feelings going through your mind that kept you up? When you tried to stop thinking about whatever was on your mind, were you able too?
So many people today are so filled with so much going on in thier mind each day they can not slow it down and stop processing. You know the mind justs keeps going and going.
Is this you? If it is try this idea. Stop reading this and for the next 15 seconds practice quiting your mind for 15 seconds. Ok go.
If you said to yourself I can not take 15 seconds I am to busy. Ok, ask yourself are you worth 15 seconds? You know do you love yourself enough to pause and give yourself a break for just 15 seconds to just be.
If this was hard how can I invite you to the next level, if this one was hard? If you did take the 15 then try this. The next time you find yourself not able to quite your thinking put your feet on the floor to ground yourself and breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Close your eyes and visualize a calming place or scene in your mind. A visual of a calming, peaceful scene that slows you down and helps you “be” in the moment. So try it and watch what happens.
Let me know how it works for you. Respond back with your other tips.
