How Appreciative Are You?
ByWhat do the holidays mean to you? Are you looking forward to the free time? Is being together with your family important? Will you attend year-end parties with your families and friends? Will it be a time when you evaluate your choices and your achievements? Will you be concerned with transitions in your relationships and career? Will you invest a few moments to review if ad how your Self-Esteem has improved during the past year? Will you be convinced that you never take a vacation from your Self-Esteem?
Remember, Self-Esteem is the self-respect you feel for yourself. The holiday season, like all others, is a time to do some self-appreciation. Congratulate yourself for taking care of yourself, your family, your career, and your friendships.
Add up all the moments you gave yourself away to help someone. Add up all of the smiles you gave away and then received a smile in return. Recall all the times you gave someone a firm handshake. Remember how you felt when someone said “thank you” for your opening a door or holding open a door for them. Reflect on the times you gave information to your fellow employees or associates to help make their work easier. Appreciate the quiet moments you gave yourself. Recall relaxing to your favorite mellow music. Relish those vacation memories when you renewed your desire to experience life at a cutting edge level. Take delight in those experiences which helped you feel alive. Relive those special moments when you went to your favorite restaurant and enjoyed conversation at the highest plateau (the highest form of conversation, free of value judging, gossip, and envy).
Close your eyes and see all of those precious moments of the past year. Hear the beautiful sounds and feel the unique feelings of intact Self-Esteem which you deserve. I appreciate you reading this message. We all need to love each other to bring about peace on earth. With intact Self-Esteem, peace, happiness, and success are inevitable. I wish you and your loved ones health, wealth and to always be young among old friends. And, I wish you and your loved ones intact Self-Esteem.
