Do You Use Affirmations?

By

Do you say affirmations every day?  Do you write affirmations every day?  Do you affirm other people daily?

Conrad Baars in his book, Born Only Once says, “Affirmation is a state of being.  Affirmation is first of all affectivity – a matter of feeling.  Only secondarily is it effectivity – a matter of doing.”  Thomas A. Kane in his book The Healing Touch of Affirmation says, “Affir- mation comes from the word affirmare and means to make firm, to give strength, to make strong.  It implies assent, agreement, consent, a willingness to say ‘Yes’ to all creation.” Affirmation is T.U.L. (Total Unconditional Love) of yourself and your potential.  It is also T.U.L. of others and their potential.

The effectivity, or doing part of an affirmation is a statement or declaration which encourages you to be who you are so that your potential may BE developed and realized.  These affirmations work only when you combine thinking, plus feelings, and follow-up with action.  Read these affirmations, then design your own and say them several times a day.
