Hope you brought in the new year with a bang and some great fun.

What do you want 2010 to bring you? Blog your comments back to us.

It is amazing what one day can do to change your perspective. As you take a moment and celebrate your plans for this new year some ideas that can make this year go so very well for you.

It is called the Wheel of Life. A simple process to assure progress in every area of your life. Like a wheel, your life will role easily based on steps that you take each day to assure progress.

Cut copy and paste the following list into your word processor.

Wheel of life
Spiritual
Physical
Mental
Family
Financial
Social
Career
Tithing your talent

Next to each idea write down what is one thing you would like to accomplish in 2010 in each area of your life? This needs to be written in a way that is simple and doable. Go ahead dream big, take a big leap in your thinking of what you want to see happen. What if you knew you would succeed at what you really wanted? Yes just write it down.

Take each goal and make a next step list of how you will go ahead and make it happen. Goals need to be specific where intentions are just ideas.

Hold your self accountable by figuring out how and who will help you stay focused. Find that accountability partner to make sure you have someone that keeps you on track that will not hold you back.

Make this year your best year ever. Let us know how we can support you in being your best. You can email me at mcgrane@mcgrane.com

Happy new year and new you!

How are you building momentum in your day? Since this is probably your first day back at work from the holiday break, how is it going?

Are you energized and getting back into things? Or are you finding yourself dreading what will happen in your day.

The great news either way you are right. If you do not like what is happening to you then make a choice now to make it different.

You say that is easier said then done. I understand what you may be feeling, however you can turn it around with a question or thought.

Let’s start with the thought. Write down what you are thinking right now. Ask yourself does that thinking get you to where you want to go? If not what new thought can you choose to move you in the direction you want to go?

Last night my home town football team, the Bengals lost 37-0 to the Gets. Wow, what a blow to their thinking. In just 6 days they have to play them again. If you were their coach what suggestions would you give them to win next week? My input to them would be, that was then, this is now.

In terms of a question to turn your thinking around try this,
what choice can I make now that moves me into who and what you want to be?

Today I am working on plans for our Move Into Your Greatness seminar happening Jan. 11-15. This is definitely a place you can be assured of success thinking and feeling. Happy new thoughts.

We wish you and your entire family the very best during this season of love and family.

We suggest you give each person you come in contact with a gift of TUL, Total Unconditional Love. You can do this by experiencing the love you feel for yourself and pass that on to each person you see. Yes even those family memebers or relatives that have heart you. You choose to be empowered or a victim based on what choices you make. Be humble and find what you have in common with even the people you loath the most. Once you do this you will experience what this whole season is all about.

Watch as you share with them the 4/s. Soft eyes, soft words, soft touch with a soft heart.

What’s your plan for family dynamics? Has someone during this holiday season tested your resolve to give love?

With all the coming together or in laws and out laws I am sure you have some amazing stories that tested you. The question is did you pass the test?

You may find yourself wanting to give someone a piece of your mind. Or just blurt out all the things you have wanted to say all of your life to this person.

Instead of lowering your standards take higher ground and be the person you have always wanted to be. I know you probably think you need to straighten them out. What will that accomplish? Who really wins?

Now is the time to show them whether they know it or not all that growth and maturity you have grown into.

My Dad always said it takes no skill to cuss someone out. So be the person, yes you.

You say you are having a hard time getting past their behavior or actions? Maybe they spilled something on your new outfit or ground food into your new carpet. Get over it!

If so focus on what unites you together instead of divides you. It may be as simple as you are both human beings on the planets. Enjoy

Give them love back. Just do it!

Share with us some of your funny stories.

Have you ever got to a point where you thought to yourself that you couldn’t continue? It happens to me more than I would like to admit. I will get overwhelmed with a situation, and then give up or reduce the amount of effort I put forth. We need to learn to breakthrough theses personal walls that separate us from completing what we need to do.

Runners in marathons and long races will visualize walls at certain points in the race, and use them to break up the race. They will concentrate on getting to the next wall, or point, instead of the finish line. Once they get close to a wall, they use all there effort to break through the wall and continue on with the race. This keeps the mind fresh which helps them to stay motivated.

Incorporate this technique into your daily life. If you have a long day ahead of you, break up the day and set up walls that you need to break through. You should set the walls close to the times where your most difficult tasks need to be completed. Focus on breaking through the next wall, not the end of the day. This will keep your mind fresh and keep you focused on the tasks at hand. Once you break through a certain wall, set up a new wall to demolish. Imagine yourself being in a marathon and not a sprint. We don’t want to tire ourselves out within the first couple of hours, so we set up walls and short term completion goals for the day that we need to reach and ultimately pass.

In doing this, you will keep your mind fresh which in return will keep you motivated on breaking through to the next wall.

Remember, don’t picture the finish line, just picture that next wall that you need to knock down…
