What are your priorities?

Posted by: | Comments (0)

People often will tell me that they believe that they have their priorities in order, but don’t really know for sure.

Most people have basic and broad priorities on their list.  These are sometime ineffective because being broad, they are hard to master and difficult to analyze how effective you are being.

Get specific with your priorities.  Really think about what is important in your life and what you value the most.  Once you have a detailed list, work on ways and different methods that will maximize your abilities that allow you to work on and keep your priorities in order.

It is important that we are specific with our priorities if we want to see significant change.

Do you have a detailed list of priorities?

Have you recently taken a look at what you value the most and spend the most time on?

What do you think you can take out of having a detailed list of priorities

Connecting the dots

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Connecting the dots in life is difficult and elusive.

Recently, I was speaking with a young man who for some reason couldn’t get everything in his life in order.  Things weren’t “clicking” for him.  He had a decent job in a profession he loved and had a stable family.  On the outside, everything seemed normal and gave the appearance of things going smoothly.  On the inside, he felt rushed, disorganized, and inefficient.

Getting everything in order and running smoothly is a difficult task.  It is a lot easier said than done.  People will come close to getting everything in order, and then one small mistake or slip-up will set them back and progress will be reversed.

Everyday we need to try and connect the dots.  We need to be honest with ourselves and open to adjusting our life-styles.  Once everything is in order and “clicking” you will become a happier person and satisfied.  You will be more efficient and things will start to become easier.

Everyday we need to work on connecting the dots.  Everyday we need to fine tune our lifestyles.

Do you have any stories of people who seem to have everything going right for them but on the inside or displeased with how they are living?

Feel free to leave comments.

Can you be who you really are?

Posted by: | Comments (0)

Have you ever felt out of place somewhere that you have been a part of for a long time?

A lot of times we have to be something or someone we are not because society or the atmosphere that surrounds you suggests it.

So what do you really want to be in life?  When you were young what did you dream of being or doing?  Never lose your identity.  No matter what job, profession, or career you enter…be yourself.  You might have to make some minor adjustments to your behavior and personality but don’t lose what makes up who you truly are.  Just because you are a lawyer, doctor, or business person, does not mean you have to lose qualities that are unique to your being.  You can still be yourself and incorporate your personality into your profession.  When you switch up your personality depending on what situation your are in, people will start to notice.  One thing people are very sufficient at is seeing through people.  If you put on a front and a riffle through different personalities often, people will start to notice that you are not genuine.  Instead of adjusting your personality to fit the situation, make the situation fit your personality.  Incorporate your unique qualities into the situation and be creative as to ways to make it work for you.

We have all spent years making up who we are.  All the good, all the bad, and everything in between is what makes us, us.  Use it to your advantage.  Everyone has a story, only some are better than others.  Never change who you are for anyone.  Be yourself and make it work for you and the ones around you.  People will grant you more respect and you will be happier with yourself because ultimately you are being just that…yourself.

Accept who you are, where you came from, and everything you have been through.  Use it to your advantage and highlight your uniqueness and flare.  More people will take notice as to who you are instead of what you are trying to be.
