Is today your day?

What one step will you take today that will move you into your greatness?

This can be a simple step that typically you would blow off as no big deal. The reality is any step can get momentum going. If you are one of those people who’s expectations are so big that you demand big results then go ahead and take that bigger step. Caution – don’t make it so big that you defeat yourself right out of the gate.

Are you the kind of person who has a hard time getting started, following through or finishing what you have started?

Momentum comes as you recognize what type of person you are and building a support system of action steps and people to help you do what is you are not best at.

If you know you are lazy and have a hard time getting started, make a game out of jump starting yourself into action by saying to yourself, I will take 10 minutes now to write down my game plan. These 10 minutes focus on the task at hand and watch what it does for your progress. Leaders who communicate effectively do so by overcoming what they do not like to do making it something they are willing to do to accomplish the task

You can do that for yourself because you have what it takes to move into your greatness. You say how? Well each time you are thinking I do not want to change your eating habits, ask yourself what one thing can you do?

For me over the holidays I have removed the crust from the back of my pie saving 100 calories.

Take the next step do it with grace and ease.

An Often Not-So-Honest Environment

Posted by: Bill | Comments (0)

In business today, or in any relationship, are you finding that people are not really saying what is on their minds? Do you find that the environment is often not conducive for them to feel comfortable sharing their points of view? They may say, “I’m not going to tell anyone what I think; I might lose my job. What if we downsize? I’m older than most of you.” As a result, we are having to pay a big price in our government, institutions, and organizations. We may placate people and try to make them believe and feel something that is not reality – to keep them in line and under our control. Yet, with the skill of interviewing questions and a sincerely concerned attitude, we could discover everyone’s point of view and take it into consideration. We could then creatively find a point of view that could serve everyone, and possibly find solutions to some, perhaps, longstanding issues.
