Can you be who you really are?

Posted by: Bill | Comments (0)

Have you ever felt out of place somewhere that you have been a part of for a long time?

A lot of times we have to be something or someone we are not because society or the atmosphere that surrounds you suggests it.

So what do you really want to be in life?  When you were young what did you dream of being or doing?  Never lose your identity.  No matter what job, profession, or career you enter…be yourself.  You might have to make some minor adjustments to your behavior and personality but don’t lose what makes up who you truly are.  Just because you are a lawyer, doctor, or business person, does not mean you have to lose qualities that are unique to your being.  You can still be yourself and incorporate your personality into your profession.  When you switch up your personality depending on what situation your are in, people will start to notice.  One thing people are very sufficient at is seeing through people.  If you put on a front and a riffle through different personalities often, people will start to notice that you are not genuine.  Instead of adjusting your personality to fit the situation, make the situation fit your personality.  Incorporate your unique qualities into the situation and be creative as to ways to make it work for you.

We have all spent years making up who we are.  All the good, all the bad, and everything inbetween is what makes us, us.  Use it to your advantage.  Everyone has a story, only some are better than others.  Never change who you are for anyone.  Be yourself and make it work for you and the ones around you.  People will grant you more respect and you will be happier with yourself because ultimately you are being just that…yourself.

Accept who you are, where you came from, and everything you have been through.  Use it to your advantage and highlight your uniqueness and flare.  More people will take notice as to who you are instead of what you are trying to be.

No Accidents

Posted by: Bill | Comments (0)

Life is full of ups-and-downs.

Sometimes your flush, and sometimes your bust.

I like to take the approach to life that there are no accidents.  Everything happens for a reason, we just may not be able to see the reason clearly yet.  There is good and positive to come out of every situation, but we need to look hard and have faith.

Instead of always looking for the bad in every situation, condition yourself to look on the bright side.  In doing so, you will help every and anyone associated with this situation.  Instead of fueling their grief and pain, you will be helping them cope by highlighting the positive that can come from this situation.  More people than just yourself will benefit from your optimistic outlook.

You will become a happier person now that you have freed yourself from negative thinking and reasoning.  You will see God’s hand in every action and event that happens in your life.  You will soon realize the true beauty of life and the respect that it demands.

There is love all around us, in every situation.  We just need to find it.

Don’t let life pass you buy

Posted by: Bill | Comments (0)

Life is short.

It seems to go by slow until one day you look back and realize just how fast you were traveling.

There are only a few things guaranteed in a person’s life, and unfortunately death is one of them.  A death in the family or to someone close to you can be extremely tough.  Mourning and grieving is completely normal and sometimes takes a while to run its course.  But we should also celebrate their life.  Celebrate all the good that this person has done and all the love they shared.

This is why we cannot let life pass us by.

What do we want to be remembered for?

Make everyday count.  Every breath, every second, every moment.  Make moments special and meaningful.  Set goals to accomplish and be productive.  Be the person you always wanted to be and don’t be forced into being something your not.  Love endlessly and passionately.  Let your family and people close to you know exactly how you feel.  Life is a precious gift bestowed upon us and we should make the most out of it.  Tomorrow is never promised today, so be present in the moment and live everyday to the fullest.

Don’t be in the passenger’s seat in life’s bumpy car ride.  Be in the driver seat.  Travel in the direction that YOU want to go.  Make frequent “pit-stops” on your journey that are full of knowledge and life.

We don’t control when this journey begins or ends, but we can control which direction we take it.
